Bio
Jim Rahn grew up in Haddonfield, N.J. He now makes his home in Seaford, DE.
with his wife Michelle.
His interest in art started at an early age, always knowing he wanted to become
an artist. He majored in art in high school, going on to study illustration at Pratt
Institute, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Being a life long resident of south jersey, he uses the land & people of this
region as the subjects in many of his paintings. A representational artist working
mainly in watercolors, Jim has an illustrative style using both image & feeling to
convey his messages in his paintings. Attracted to strong design and light
patterns, he works from sketches & photographs taken in the field, and completes
the painting back in the studio.
